Today's consumers prefer to have a stylish lifestyle with the highest comfortability. To emphasize on easygoing ways of life, Denim jeans are one of the most demanded fashion items in both the developed & expanding industrial world.

Denim can be considered as first-rate fashion products because of high strength & adaptability, and more comfortable to wear, throughout the world of being regardless of area, age, sex & status.
In the 18th century, Denim garments came into existence during a time when cloths of cotton were warmly accepted. But it’s gained importance to the physical laborers for its durability.

In the 19th century, Denim got its popularity by Levi Strauss.
The 20th century witnessed jeans as a fad of pop culture. It became popular with teenagers for its stylish look.
During the 60s & 70s bell bottoms & hip hugger, patterns became popular.
In the 80s, denim got the attention of the fashion designers to make it more fashionable. In the 90s, it became one of the most desired used items that are being ornamented by fashion models.

According to data, every American owns 7 to 8 pairs of jeans on average.

What is the reason behind this revolutionary resurrection?
Celebrities started to get used sophisticated denim wears regularly even for events where formal attire is normally expected.
For the time being, denim is considered as a trend & fashion iconic item which lets the consumers being classy & comfortable in workplaces to fashion shows.

The raw fabric comes directly from the loom then the raw denim has been washed or treated with chemicals to make different fashion look.

Nowadays, jeans are available in rainbow colors to meet the desired style of fashion appreciating women.

At present, recycling denim has been used widely for meeting its sustainability requirements, many denim factories have started new projects to produce denim from the wastage or reused. Blue Diamond uses Refibra technology- a process that upcycles cotton scraps produced during textile manufacturing to create new garments. Thus denim industries are becoming eco-friendly serving the desired requirements of consumers.

In Europe, America & Asia denim comprises the most fast-rated casually used outfit.
So, Bangladesh should work on its value addition that would be 85%-90% from 70% (existing), as result, BD could bring an extra dimension to the global competitive market through grabbing more market share.
