Basic Sequences of Apparel Industry
Apparel is the last stage of the textile industry which is made by following buyer given design . It is fundamental to have basic knowledge of the textile manufacturing sequence to maintain the authentic quality of the products which is the prime target at present.
In this part, we're going to discuss the total garment manufacturing process that goes through four basic sections. They function the whole production step by step.
1. Sample section: inevitably important to get started the bulk production maintaining the required quality. It means making a sample of a garment product in order to play a vital role in attracting buyers. Because the buyers get convinced to place orders after they are satisfied with the quality of the samples. The samples decide the ability of an exporter. The buyers get access to the exporter & his organization by the given samples. So it is essential that the samples should be innovative & of optimum quality as it stands for the parameter to the customer to have an approximate idea about the products.
2. Cutting section: It is the most decisive part of the cutting room, as once the cutting process is done, it is very hard to adjust or fix it anymore due to mistakes. It is the production process of separating (sectioning, curving, severing) a spread into garment parts as per the accurate size & shape of the marker according to the sample. Once the marker is set, the pattern pieces are cut out of specified fabric. The process is conducted in early to modern tech using scissors to computer-driven automated cutters. Irrespective of size; the cutwork process follows the same procedure in all rooms of apparel industries & accomplished when a bundle of cutwork is issued for sewing.
3. Sewing section: The sewing process is the attachment of different cut pieces. The individual workers have functioned for individual single operations in accordance with a pre-determined manner. After completing the initial sewing process, there a phase takes place of quality checking. Both the inner & outer parts of the finished garments are inspected & if found any defect, the specific garment is sent to the corresponding operator to rectify or gets rejected. Once the process is completed, the garments are sent to the finishing section in order to shipment according to the customer's requirements.
4. Finishing section: The finishing section includes garment checking, final inspection, pressing, washing(if needed), packing, etc. It is to ensure quality & final clarification. The input of this section is the outcome of the sewing segment & works on removing loose threads from the body, ironing & completing the rest of the works. A 100% quality check is ensured here. Afterward, accessories, like a collar stand, company tag, size tag, etc are attached before folding & packing the garments. Then garments are being poly to protect & then those are being cartooned for shipment.
